Toffee Ice Cream

  • 3 c. crushed cream filled chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
  • ½ gal. vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. Heath Bar
  • whipped cream
  • fudge sauce
  • maraschino cherries

Combine chocolate cookie crumbs and butter, mixing well. Press into lightly greased 9x13x2-inch dish. Bake at 350° for 5 minutes; cool. Spread half of ice cream over crust, sprinkle with half of the Heath bar. Repeat layers. Cover and freeze several hours or until firm. Cut dessert into squares to serve. Top each serving with whipped cream, warm fudge sauce and a cherry. Yield: 15 servings, 450 calories per serving.
