Sloppy Jo Sandwiches
- 1 ½ lb. ground meat
- 1 c. ketchup
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 to 2 onions, finely chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped (optional)
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. dry mustard
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- salt and pepper
- 8 rolls
Melt butter and brown onions and ground meat together. Add brown sugar, vinegar, dry mustard and other spices. Add ketchup. Simmer for 30 minutes. Yield: 8 sandwiches, 278 calories per sandwich. For extra calories butter the bun and add a slice of cheese.
