Crock-Pot Chili
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 1/8 tsp. paprika
- 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1 (20 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
- 1 large bay leaf
Brown ground beef in skillet for 10 minutes; drain. Add onions, green pepper, chili powder, salt, red pepper and paprika. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add tomatoes, beans and bay leaf. Simmer for 2 ½ hours or pour into crock-pot and cook on medium for 6 to 8 hours. Add small amount of water if necessary. Yield: 4 servings, 437 calories per serving.
